Bio
Already an athlete at Finger Lakes: Broderick, who was a member of the women’s soccer team this past season, enters her first season in a Lady Lakers basketball uniform ready and prepared for the grind of a long schedule. Coming into the 2012-13 campaign, the freshman, who was a solid defender on the pitch this past fall, brings with her to the team a sharp looking resume pertaining to athletics and academics. Prior to her successful stint this autumn with the women’s soccer squad at Finger Lakes, Broderick was a three-sport athlete and academic scholar during her high school days at Canandaigua Academy. There, she was a member of the women’s soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Her days on the basketball court at CA were labeled as successful. A four-year member of the team, she was named Exceptional Senior for her spectacular play in her final season. In addition, Broderick was an academic standout at CA. There, she was a Distinguished Scholar and was a high honor student all while being a member of the National Honor Society. Described as an individual who carries with her to the hardwood great character along with a phenomenal work ethic, the local Canandaigua resident provides Coach Henry and the Lady Lakers roster with a solid staple inside the locker room and on the court. Expect Broderick to give the team valuable, hard played minutes when her number is called upon this season.
